Miskanawah Cultural Youth Camps

Pathways summer camps are an excellent opportunity for youth to get away from the city and enjoy the wilderness located approximately 30 minutes northwest of Cochrane on the 1A. Our camp provides young people the opportunity to meet new friends, play games, go hiking, and much more while at the same time learning more about teamwork, courage and respect for self and others.

Our mission at Pathways is to provide culturally respectful services to children, youth, and families. This theme is also carried into camps with strong Aboriginal cultural teachings around the ideas of respect, love, dignity, honour, and humility. Our summer camps focus on the quieting of the spirit through exposure to traditional Aboriginal teachings, songs, stories, and ceremonies within the natural, comforting surroundings of Mother Earth.

This year, Pathways will be hosting three camps:

(Family Camp) July 29-August 1, 2016

(Ages 14-18) August 8-12, 2016

(Ages 10-13) August 15-18, 2016

Thanks to the Collaborative Funders’ Table, our camps are free for all youth! Spaces are limited and participants are accepted on first come first served basis.
