Pathways’ roots in the Calgary area go back nearly 30 years. In 2006 we moved to our current location. In June, 2007 we reincorporated under the Alberta Societies Act and changed our name to Pathways Community Services Association. Our new logo represents a strong foundation (stone people); strength through cooperation; growth and welcoming change (red sun line); and healing, well being and freedom (feathers).
Pathways has a staff of nearly 40 skilled individuals with fluency in 11 languages. We provide a range of services, supports and resources including:
- Eagle Spirit Aboriginal Program and Resources
- Healthy Families – an In Home support service for families with newborns
- Connect Access – a supervised visitation service
- Nekinan Home For Aboriginal Youth – a home environment for Aboriginal youth
- Pathways Homes for Aboriginal Youth – Mentor Homes that combine professional approaches with traditional cultural practices
- Youth Transitioning to Adulthood – individualized supports for youth approaching independence
- Aboriginal In-Home Support
- Community programs, events and cultural ceremonies
- Crisis support from our Regional After Hours Youth Support (RAYS) team
- Family Violence and Bullying Research Project
Pathways programs, events and services are supported by Alberta Child and Family Services, Alberta Lotteries Fund, as well as grants and donations (link to donor page) from corporations, foundations and private donors.
