Crisis Intervention Worker
Pathways Regional After Hours Youth Support (RAYS) program provides intervention and crisis services to children, youth and families via the Social Service Response Team with Calgary and Area Child and Family Services. The RAYS team provides two support workers from 5pm to 9am Monday through Thursday and continously from 5pm Friday through to 9am Monday (or Tuesday in the case where Monday is a statutory holiday). There is also a third worker available every day from 11pm - 11am.
We have two open positions that require availability Friday after 5 pm, Saturday, and Sunday (into Monday morning).
Crisis Intervention workers will have a diploma or degree in a related human services field or be enrolled in a related field and have a minimum of 2 years of related experience in the human services field.
A current Police Security Clearance including working with vulnerable youth and Child Intervention clearance must be provided upon hire.
All workers must live within in the city limits of Calgary, have a safe and reliable vehicle and have full insurance coverage with a minimum of 2 million liability insurance coverage and insurance coverage deemed necessary by their individual carriers to cover the transportation of clients for business/work purposes.
